Fast friendly service. Good food and nice atmosphere make for a very nice night out. We have been to Sawyers a few times now and we have not been disappointed yet. I can recommend the burger and wings. We were lucky one night to go when they had live music and the that was awesome.

The food here is excellent. The drinks are great and the atmosphere is amazing. I honestly like the drinks here more than anywhere else. The balance between taste and alcohol content is perfect. The espresso martinis are some of the best around. The bar tenders are all really nice and on point. When it gets busy sometimes it can take a while to get service, however, the bartenders do keep up as much as possible. This place is amazing and still within walking distance of downtown. There are sometimes fun events and it's a pretty varied crowd depending on the time of night.

Kyle - The bartender provided excellent service. I had the fish and chips and my friend had the beet salad. Both were excellent! I did like the truffle fries. The espresso martini is pretty awesome My friend's sour drink was well described by Kyle to her and I tried it and it was very good. Definitely going back. So far I consider it the best restaurant in Torrington and as good, if not better, as any restaurant in downtown West Hartford. In fact, kind of like it better than any of those.

We had a really Saturday Late Lunch at Sawyers. It was a casual, friendly corner bar. Our chicken wrap was really tasty and moist - too often chicken breast gets dried out. The burger was yummy, cooked to the temp we asked for, and topped with a generous helping of cheese and bacon. We will be back next time we are in Torrington

I’m so confused. There we are, driving through Torrington on our way to NY...we’re hungry. I quickly check Google maps for the closest non-fast food restaurant near us. Whatever, we’ll go to this little bar. Walk in, my expectations are low because I’m hungry, cynical, and clinically depressed. Everyone looks like they’re having a great time, so maybe the drinks are strong at least. This dude takes our drink order - he’s full of life and good energy. Now...this man comes back with my espresso martini. I go “Okrrrr!” or whatever, to express that I’m impressed. It’s beautiful. He gave me the extra on the side too! Then the mozz sticks come out...is this a fever dream? Too much Benadryl? I thought I was at some bar, not a fancy...place! If that wasn’t enough...my dang beet salad comes out. Clearly I’m being punk’d. Kitchen staff is using, like...plating circles?? HOW IS EVERYTHING SO PRETTY AND TASTY. I lived in Torrington years ago, practically across the street...what is this? Who are you? Why isn’t there a location in Manchester yet? Is there any good reason why everywhere else can’t put in even half the amount of effort that this beautiful haven of love and food did? No, there’s no good reason. So it looks like you (we) are going to have to leave it to Sawyer’s, and keep coming back.

I want to start off by saying this was my first experience at this bar/restaurant and has become the best experience ive ever had while eating out. To begin with, the vibe as soon as you walk in gives off homey, clean and comfortable, and doesn’t initially feel like you’re walking into a bar. we were greeted immediately upon entering and took our seats. Kyle was our bartender/waiter and to say he went above and beyond to ensure a positive experience for us is an understatement. The drinks he made were both visually pleasing and delicious, the food was fresh and flavorful and the atmosphere was pleasant. We ordered an appetizer and they did not have enough of the specific item in stock so they made what they could and Kyle so kindly took it off our bill. At the end of the night before we left, Kyle also offered a green tea shot on the house! I am so beyond excited to go back and try the other delicious looking dishes the have to offer! if i could give more than 5 stars, i absolutely would! P.S Kyle deserves a raise!

Nice little corner bar. Brought the whole family. Fish tacos, chicken wrap, loaded fries, and quesadilla were all good. Fuzzy Baby Ducks IPA was good too. Great friendly service.
